Kalakar preserves the artisanal heritage of Goa’s handloom traditions by infusing age-old weaving techniques with contemporary aesthetics. Our fabrics are elegant and playful, a celebration of the diverse stories of the handloom. 

Collections

Our scarves have a soft mesh-like texture evocative of the ethereal beauty of land, sky and sea. Each piece is handwoven by skilled weavers on antique wooden handlooms using techniques and processes handed down over generations.

Kalakar was founded by Poonam Pandit in 2011 with the mission of reviving the vanishing tradition of handloom weaving in Goa.
